Guidance Office News

5/21/18

Today during 3rd period, 9-11 grade students received their course request sheets for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please read the information below very carefully. Also, parent signature is NOT required.

Your schedule might look different than you thought, for a number of reasons:

1. We removed all 11th graders from being a student aide.

2. We had to balance courses and might have given you your second elective choice.

3. When the counselors were auditing your transcript they added a class you needed.

4. If your schedule says "SEE COUNSELOR" ignore that message.

There might be additional changes before you receive your final schedule in August for a number of reasons:

1. You took a course over the summer that you no longer need.

2. You did not pass a class this semester and it needed to be added.

3. You requested a class that was canceled or full (including a 1st period start).

Important-Do not stop by the Guidance Office or email your counselor with change requests.  Instead, if there is an error in your schedule, go to THIS LINK and complete the Google Form.  You will be notified via email by August if the change can be made.

You can begin ordering final transcripts on parchment.com.  It is very important that you read the following:

1).  You must submit a transcript from every institution you attended.  Example: If you completed a course at Mission, you must send your chosen college a transcript from Mission EVEN if the coursework appears on your PHHS transcript.  Do not forget this step; we have had students admissions' offers revoked because the student failed to send all transcripts.

2).  When you order from parchment, you need to select "Hold for Grades". If you forget this step, transcripts will be sent now and will miss all 2nd semester coursework.  See image below.

3).  Counselors do not send a Final Transcript for Common App students.  You must request your final transcript on Parchment.
