Walden West runs week-long residential science camp September through June (except the weeks of: Nov 18,  Dec 23-Jan 6 and Feb 18) for 5/6th graders.

Walden West supports high school student’s academic engagement and builds their portfolios for future career/college. Students earn up to 100 hours of service learning serving as cabin leaders and enrich their current knowledge in our field classes in subject areas related to:

·         Biology

·         Environmental Science

·         Physics/Engineering in Sustainable Living

·         Physical Education

In addition, they have an opportunity to further develop interpersonal skills:

·         Problem solving

·         Critical thinking

·         Personal maturity

·         Leadership

·         Mentoring

·         Sense of community

Interested students, 15 and older, can apply online at http://www.waldenwest.org/volunteer/

Qualifications, benefits, requirements and all necessary paperwork can be found at www.waldenwest.org/volunteer (applying does NOT give permission to attend – each teacher, an administrator and the attendance office must sign out each student).
