About Me

I attended San José State University where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in Mathematics for K-8 teaching.  I continued my education there and obtained a Single Subject teaching credential.  A few years later, I decided to go back to SJSU and obtained a Master's degree in Mexican American Studies with an emphasis in Education.

I really enjoy teaching high school Spanish.  I use a variety of teaching strategies in my classroom.  These include grammar instruction, taking Cornell notes, leading oral and written activities, leading reading activities, and facilitating listening comprehension activities.  In addition, each semester students can expect to complete at least one project and one oral presentation.

Inspirational Quotes

"Real education should consist of drawing the goodness and the best out of our own students.  What better books can there be than the book of humanity?"  César Chávez

"I know it seems hard sometimes but remember one thing.  Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that.  So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep ya head up...and handle it.  I want to grow.  I want to be better.  You grow.  We all grow.  We're made to grow.  You either evolve or you disappear."  Tupac Shakur
