Bienvenidos: The many beautiful images of Spanish Speaking America

About Me

My name is Elizabeth Caldera and I have been teaching at Piedmont Hill High School since 1999. I received my Spanish degree and Spanish credential from San Jose State University. In May 2010 I earned my masters degree in Mexican-American Studies with an emphasis in Education.

Teaching has been a learning process, but I do believe that if you have a love for the subject you teach, your students will see that and in turn follow your lead. Aside from creating a positive and fun learning environment, I like to think that I challenge students to become independent thinkers who will go above and beyond the assigned task. Teaching levels 2 and 3 and Heritage Language Learners these last four years has been a very rewarding experience.

Students: Food For Thought

" You are the embodiment of the information you choose to accept and act upon. To change your circumstances you need to change your thinking and Subsequent actions." - Adlin Sinclair
