    We Miss You!

Good afternoon Pirate parents and returning students, I hope that your summer has been going well.

This past Thursday, the school board approved the district's plan to have distance learning as the "classroom" setting for this coming Fall. The plan is for the entire first semester to be distance learning. I know that this is disappointing to many of us, but COVID-19 is still very much a threat, especially in Santa Clara county. The safety of our students is the number one priority of Piedmont Hills and East Side as a whole.

I have attached the "bell" schedule for the Fall so that you and your student can start to get familiar with it. As you can see, it looks different than the Spring. I want to assure all of you that distance learning this coming Fall will not be the same as it was this past Spring. In the Spring we doing the best we could in a situation none of us had time to plan for. We are currently spending the summer planning for the Fall and as a district we have learned what worked and what did not work and are making the necessary adjustments ti have the best possible educational experience for our students.

I will be on vacation this Wednesday, July 1st through July 15th. When I return I will be sending out dates for various Q and A Zoom meetings for parents and for students. I will also restart sending my weekly emails so that you will be informed of details and new information as it comes available.

Please be aware that PHHS is open for the summer, M-F, 8am-3pm, except for THIS Friday, July 3rd. We will be closed for the 4th of July holiday. If you are interested in a PHHS mask and missed when we were selling them last week, we now have them available for sale in the Main Office. The cost is $5, please bring exact change.

Continue to enjoy your summer and stay safe. Look for more information from me after July 15th.

capPlease enjoy our Celebration of the Class of 2020 Graduation video. It absolutely does not take the place of a traditional graduation, but hopefully it conveys how proud we are of the Piedmont Hills Class of 2020!
